Lars Hansen played for the Centennial Centaurs and took home the AAA Provincial tournament MVP honours in both 1971 and 1972. In 1972 he led his team to the Provincial title. Hansen went on to play college basketball at the University of Washington. Hansen was a Husky from 1972 to 1976. Hansen was first drafted by the Chicago Bulls in the 1976 NBA draft. He was selected 37th overall. In 1977 he was again drafted, but 151 overall by the Los Angeles Lakers. Hansen eventually signed with the Seattle Supersonics in 1978 and was on the roster of their 1978-79 championship team. Hansen played 1 year in the NBA in addition to playing professionally in Europe.
