Welcome back to the new school year, we hope you are settled back into your routines.
The senior boys’ basketball season kicks off on November 25!
It is time to submit your schedules so we can get the games posted on the BC High School Boys Basketball Association website.
Please send your schedule to bcboysbball@gmail.com or mstoneburgh@sd38.bc.ca
Schedule should include all league games, exhibition games and tournaments your team is participating in.
Information should include date, opponent, location, game time and whether it is league or exhibition.
The website does not allow individual schools to post their own schedules as we have had accidental catastrophes with that in the past.
If your school is hosting a tournament, please put us on your email mail out list to all the participating teams when you send out the draw/schedule, as we can then post the games on each individual school team’s schedule as well as the tournament schedule.

Coaches who do not have a username and password to the website may register for those by contacting bcboysbball@gmail.com and they will be sent to you.
Please  provide your name, school, email and mobile phone number.
The BC High School Boys' Basketball Association Executive is attempting to put together an accurate contact list for all coaches in the province.
Once you have a username and password you can login to the website and register your team by entering your player roster and self-report your game scores directly to the website.

Under the “Coaches” tab on the website have a look at “Registration Instructions” and “Coaches Quick Reference Guide”.

*Once you input your team roster to the website this will automatically register the head coach as a member of the BC High School Boys Basketball Association for the 2024-2025 season.

The BC High School Boys Basketball Association (BCHSBBA) is pleased to announce that we will continue our relationship with Baden Canada as they will now be the official sponsor for the Coach Goulet Grade 8 Basketball Championships, The Grade 9 Boys and Girls Invitational Tournaments and the Jr. Boys and Girls Invitational Tournaments.

 Baden has been a huge supporter of high school basketball in this Province contributing more than $500,000.00 over the past 15 years. They will contribute both financial support and product to each of the grade 8, 9 and Jr. level boys and girls' tournaments and will also continue their financial support of the BCHSBBA scholarship program which gives out over $10,000 in scholarships each year to graduating seniors.

On Saturday April 20th STMC hosted the All-Star Saturday events and it was a great day of hoops. The day got started with the 1a vs 2a match and for the first time ever 1A defeated 2A 96-95 in what was an amazing back and forth game. Player of the game for 1A was Viv Francois from St. John's who led the way with 30 points, the highest total for anyone in both games. Loay Almahamid from Gidgalang Kuuyas Naay had 18 points and Ryder Vanderkooi of Unity Christian chipped in 14 points. 

The 3a / 4A matchup was a good one on paper and close at half with 4A leading 43-33. However the 4A group showed their dominance and were too much for 3A as they took the game 115-79.  4A Player of the game was Tamanawis own Sartaj Bhangu with 19 points, Arjun Hehar also from Tamanawis had 16, Thomas Beames from Oak Bay and Nylan Roberts from Yale both had 15. The Player of the game for 3A was St. Pat's Jovin Sunner, Dylan King from Lord Byng had 14 for the 3A squad.

BCHSBBA AGM
The BC High School Boys Basketball Annual General Meeting will be held at 10:00am on Saturday March 9th in conference room B (4th floor) at the Langley Events Centre. All senior boys basketball coaches who submitted a roster to the Association bcboysbasketball.com are eligible to attend this meeting. There will be a continental breakfast served starting at 9:30am. We will be discussing many important topics (Agenda below)

Also if you put up a team photo you will be eligible for a draw for a $500 Pro D voucher for the clinic of your choice. Exciting times ahead for our 76 year old association.
